Nestled in Poortview, Roodepoort, the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden is a 300-hectare nature haven, known for the iconic Witpoortjie Waterfall and a wide range of indigenous plants, birds, and walking trails. A perfect escape for nature lovers, families, and photographers.

Established in 1982 and named after the late Walter Sisulu in 2004, the garden features themed areas including the Cycad Garden, Succulent Rockery, Fern Trail, Waterwise Garden, and Bird & Butterfly Garden. It also houses a Visitors’ Centre, children’s playground, and restaurant.
